When taking on an employee – especially for the first time – there are things the employer must do and things that are recommended to do.

As an employer there are other things you must do and know about. This article is just an introduction. Again I would re-iterate – “take advice”.

All employees are entitled to a Contract of Employment once they have been with the employer for 8 weeks. There is some information which must be included and other clauses which an employer can add it to help the smooth running of the business
