Welcome to this month’s articles where I look at helping you not to be one of the business that may not survive the current climate.
I am indebted to Tenon’s (business recovery specialists) to allow me to reproduce an article that was first published in “Business”, our local business magazine (www.bizmag.co.uk). It looks at the warning signs, often quite small, that add up, which may give an indication that your business, or your customers’ business, could be running into problems. Take a few minutes to read this and consider – honestly – your position; then revisit this same article on a regular basis as a reminder to reconsider your position and maybe give you a competitive advantage.
This month I follow on from the “promotion” articles of last month and look at “free advertising” – that is the use of press releases (or as they are now called “media releases”)to get your good news stories in the press and thus in front of your customers and prospective customers.
Finally this month I take a look at cash flow forecasting and how to use this simple tool to manage and be in control of the financial side of your business.
Several more businesses have joined the “B2B & More Section”; do take a look to see if any of those businesses can be of assistance to you also consider if your business could be of assistance to anyone else – if so click on the link at the bottom of the page and submit an entry
I reserve the right to accept or deny any request for inclusion and to edit any text. Entries will usually only be accepted from people/businesses that I know; or who have been strongly recommended by someone that I know. Remember, as I get older the memory goes – so do also email to say that you have an entry to be considered and remind me who you are if we have not been in contact for a while.
Over the past 18 months, articles have been illustrated with cartoons – starting in January for the next few months I will illustrate news items with photographs of some of the animals I took whilst on safari – totally indulgent – but I hope you enjoy them.
